On the afternoon of November 27, 2020 International Class of Clinical Medicine held a unique  Foreign Teacher Salon Class. The theme of the Salon activity is Rugby Games Super Bowl the most popular in the United States一NFL annual championship of the professional Rugby league. It started with round Rugby rules and pre-match advertising and other interesting parts. In addition, this Salon activity was also provided with Pizza. The students could have a better understanding about American culture behind the Super Bowl While Teacher John and students were tasting Pizza together.

This class had two parts. The first part was about the classic advertising in prime time before the game, and the second part was about the explanation of American Rugby rules and game observation. Firstly, our teacher John said Pizza was the traditional food for Super Bowl Games. Then he showed students classic ads about Super Bowl over the years. Among them were Oreo, Clash of Clans, which were familiar to students; and E-TRADE, Doritos, Avocados from Mexico and other brands that were not familiar to everyone. Students gradually understood the humorous style of advertising after explaining the background knowledge by John after watching repeatedly. The classroom was full of laughter.

After a short break, teacher John explained the detailed rules of American Rugby. John showed the most highlights to students and enjoyed the competition together with them. He pointed some reasons for scoring or made comments to competition and everybody enjoyed it.

This Salon activity was end successfully in happy laughter. Everybody said this activity was very rewarding that they were not only exercised their English listening and speaking ability, but also got a better understanding about American culture represented by the Super Bowl. These laid a more solid foundation for future English learning and overseas studies.
